🏉✨ Monmouth Rugby Team Shines in Semi-Final Battle! 🌟⬇️
Though Haberdashers’ Monmouth School didn’t secure a spot in the Continental Tyres Schools U15 Vase final, pride runs high after a valiant effort on the pitch. Facing Claires Court School at Aylesbury RFC, our boys showcased incredible resilience and talent. With a tightly contested first half, the score was just 7-0 at the break. 💪
While Claires Court managed to pull ahead, our team fought back with determination, scoring two sensational tries by captain Freddie Davies and Will Lodwick. Coach Davey Mulroy was thrilled with his players’ dedication and heart. 🙌 “They gave their all,” Mulroy said. “It’s about enjoying the game and giving 100%, and the lads really embodied that today.”
The school’s rugby programme may be smaller, but the spirit and effort were immense. Even in tough matches against top schools like Bromsgrove and Millfield, our team held strong till the last whistle. It’s this kind of resilience that makes us proud. 🏆
The Continental Tyres Schools Cup provides an incredible platform for young players to develop and showcase their skills, with many scouts keeping a keen eye on upcoming talent. For some, it’s the start of their love affair with rugby. 💼
With Age Grade rugby participation rising, especially among girls, the future looks bright. Rugby at school is not just about competition; it’s about creating lasting memories and fostering a passion for the sport. 🏉❤️
Kudos to our boys for their hard work and commitment! 🎉 Let’s keep that rugby spirit alive! 🔥
