🚨 Drug Dealing Bust in Swansea 🚨

A 20-year-old man, Kobir Hussain, was caught targeting university students with drugs like ketamine, cocaine, and cannabis. He brazenly sent mass texts to potential buyers, boasting about his delivery runs to the campus.

It all started when police became suspicious of a car in Swansea’s Uplands area. Inside, they found Hussain with cannabis, £600 in cash, and evidence of a drug operation. Soon after, a search of his home uncovered cannabis edibles and text messages detailing his illicit trade.

Despite being arrested, Hussain didn’t stop. Just before Christmas, he was found again in a car with his partner-in-crime, Mohammed Anees, who was carrying over half a kilo of cocaine. Upon closer inspection, they found 20 packaged deals, weighing scales, and a staggering £12,000 in cash.
In court, both young men admitted their roles in drug supply, each having prior convictions. Hussain’s lawyer shared that his client is determined to turn his life around, having realised the pain he’s caused his family. He dreams of starting a clothing business.
Meanwhile, Anees, before succumbing to drugs, worked at a burger joint. During his time on remand, he’s been assisting as a Samaritans’ listener and observing Ramadan.
The judge wasn’t lenient, given their criminal history. Hussain was handed a four-year sentence in a young offenders’ institution, while Anees received four years in prison. They’ll serve 40% before being released on licence.
