🌟 Rugby News Alert! 🌟
Exciting updates in Welsh rugby and beyond as the Six Nations finale looms! 🍀🏉
📅 In a dramatic twist, the Welsh Rugby Union (WRU) might see some board members stepping down. Word on the street is that the future of Welsh rugby hangs in the balance if WRU chairman Richard Collier-Keywood is removed at the upcoming emergency general meeting (EGM). There’s a serious buzz with 50 clubs backing the EGM, while Swansea Council is pulling legal strings to keep the number of Welsh professional teams intact. With a board vote already in favour of reducing teams, the EGM could throw a big spanner in the works if enough clubs back the motion to dismiss the chair.
🏉 On the pitch, Wales’ own Louis Rees-Zammit shares a beacon of hope for fans, despite a tough Six Nations run. Their narrow defeats to Scotland and Ireland show sparks of promise and togetherness in the team. “We’re just building,” he says, reminding fans that the best is yet to come! 💪
🇫🇷 A setback for France as star centre Nicolas Depoortere is sidelined for the season after a shoulder operation. A big loss for the team, but here’s hoping for a speedy recovery! 🙌
🏴 Meanwhile, England’s Steve Borthwick admits the pressure of the Six Nations has been tough on his players. With an urgent call for bravery on the field, he’s determined to bring back the fast, exhilarating rugby England is known for. 📈
