Meet Kelly Brown and her amazing daughters, who are not only family but also treasured colleagues at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff! Kelly, along with Hannah, Laura, and Lucy, have turned working together into a family affair, spreading warmth and dedication within the health sector. 🌟

Healthcare runs in their blood, starting with Kelly’s mum, Gloria, a former staff nurse who inspired generations. Kelly has spent over 20 years in healthcare, currently making a difference as a memory link worker for those with cognitive impairment and dementia.

Hannah, the caring heart of the gynaecology department, has been with UHW for 12 years, making her mark by winning a health hero award for her incredible support to patients. Her sister, Laura, started alongside her as a healthcare support worker and has climbed the ladder to become a patient flow co-ordinator in the Emergency Unit, drawing daily inspiration from Mum’s dedication to patient care.
Youngest sister Lucy began her journey seven years ago in the neonatal intensive care unit. After completing her nursing degree, she’s now a registered nurse caring for the tiniest and most vulnerable patients.
This powerhouse quartet shares an unwavering commitment to caring for others, viewing their work as more than just a job—it’s a calling. Together, they are a testament to the power of family and the profound impact of compassionate healthcare. ❤️
Kelly sums it up perfectly: “Working in the same organisation as my daughters makes me incredibly proud. We each play different roles but share the same commitment to caring for others. It means a great deal to our family, and caring for others has always been at the heart of what we do.”
Let’s give it up for these incredible women making a difference every day! 👏 #FamilyInHealthcare #Inspiration #CompassionInAction
