Police have released new details in their quest to identify a man found dead in a wheelie bin in Coventry. Discovered on Friday evening in Cash’s Park, the man, believed to be between 40 and 50 years old, had unique tattoos that officers hope will lead to his identification.

On his back, there was a conspicuous tattoo of a snake intertwined with a cross and the words “Little Stardust.” Another tattoo on his right arm read “nan,” along with a clover and the colours of the Irish flag.

Investigators suspect that this unknown man may have been hit by a vehicle before his body was hidden in the bin. The bin itself, with a distinctive green lid, was issued by the Coventry City Council, prompting efforts to discover its origins. Detectives are also keen to hear from anyone who might have witnessed unusual behaviour or noticed any unexplained damage to vehicles in the area.
Det Ch Insp Phil Poole, leading the investigation, says, “We’re determined to find out what happened to this man. If you recognise these tattoos or have any information, please reach out. We’re already following up on several leads, and every tip could be crucial.”
If you have any details, dashcam footage, or CCTV clips from around the Daimler Road area, reach out to the police at 101, quoting log 4148 of 13 March. Your information could be vital in helping the police solve this heartbreaking mystery.
