⚠️ **Warning for Welsh Beachgoers** ⚠️

Strange objects have washed up on Aberavon Beach – and they’re not just odd-looking, they’re also dangerous! Authorities are urging everyone, especially dog owners, to stay vigilant.

🏖️ **What’s Washed Up?**
The mysterious objects are actually roots of hemlock water dropwort, often called ‘Dead Man’s Fingers’ or ‘Poisonous Parsnips’. These roots look like parsnips but are highly toxic both to humans and animals.

🐾 **Dog Owners: Take Note!**
Dogs may find these roots appealing due to their parsnip-like smell. Keep a close eye on your furry friends and steer them clear from these potentially lethal plants. Ingestion can be fatal and symptoms could appear in just 15 minutes!
📞 **Stay Safe:**
1. **Do Not Touch!**
2. **Keep Children and Pets Away.**
3. **Report Sightings:** Call your local council at 01639 686868 for safe removal.
4. **In An Emergency:** Seek immediate medical or veterinary help if you suspect contact.
