Tragic news from Haverfordwest as a man sadly passed away after being rescued from the River Cleddau. On Tuesday morning, emergency services, including the police, fire service, and ambulance personnel, rushed to the scene following reports of concerns for the man’s safety.

Despite their swift and united efforts, including a dramatic water rescue by the Mid and West Wales Fire Service using a water-rescue sled, the man was later confirmed to have died in hospital. Our hearts go out to his family and friends during this difficult time.

Police have stated that there’s no suspicion of foul play involved in the incident, and the authorities are working with HM Coroner to address the circumstances.
A big thank you to the brave emergency service teams from Haverfordwest, Milford Haven, and Carmarthen who responded to the call. Let’s keep the man’s loved ones in our thoughts. Please share to raise awareness of the crucial role our emergency services play in such situations.
