Greg James has been on an epic 1,000km cycling journey across England, Wales, and Scotland, raising a whopping £927,000 (and counting!) for Comic Relief. As he pushed through south Yorkshire, guess who jumped on to give him a royal boost? None other than Prince William himself! 👑
Reaching the halfway mark of his eight-day trek, Greg was astonished by Prince William’s surprise appearance, commenting on the unique opportunity to cycle with the future King: “What an incredible surprise! Completely bizarre, but so kind. He didn’t have to jump on and stare at my back for 40 mins, but I’m so grateful he did. Unforgettable.” 🚴♂️💬
This heartwarming gesture wasn’t just about the miles, but about spreading an important message. Prince William emphasised the spirit of volunteering in the UK and how challenges like Greg’s spotlight the importance of supporting others: “It’s an amazing team effort. Huge well done, Greg.” 🤝🇬🇧
