⚠️ROAD REMAINS CLOSED IN BRIDGEND⚠️

If you’ve been trying to get through Tremains Road in Bridgend, you might have noticed it’s still closed and it’s set to stay that way for a bit! 🚧
What happened? Well, early morning on 15th March, a massive fire broke out at the former ADT Joinery building. There’s a twist though—this wasn’t just any fire. It disrupted more than just a building. 🔥

Asbestos was found in the roof panels and ended up on the road, making the clean-up tricky and safety a top concern. An approved contractor has removed the debris, but the road remains closed as the safety of the building structure is being assessed. Public safety first, folks. 🛑
Firefighters tackled the blaze for hours and due to potential asbestos exposure, extra precautions were taken. Luckily, no one was hurt and authorities believe it was started deliberately. An investigation is ongoing. 🚨
Local residents were understandably shaken. Dolly Jones, who lives nearby, recalled the terrifying noise that startled her awake. The fire brigade’s swift action didn’t go unnoticed! 🙌
Still, with no clear timeline set for reopening, the local council and building owner are working tirelessly to stabilise what’s left. Stay tuned for updates and steer clear of the area for now. Safety is our priority! 🏗️
