⚠️⛔ Major disruption on the M5 this morning! A lorry went up in flames between J13 (Stroud) and J14 (Falfield) near Gloucester, causing significant delays. 🚛🔥

Dramatic footage has emerged showing the vehicle completely engulfed in a fiery spectacle, with thick smoke billowing into the sky. Emergency services, including Gloucestershire Police and Fire and Rescue, have been on-site tackling the blaze.

The M5 southbound is closed between J13 and J14, and it might be a while before it’s reopened. National Highways is overseeing the removal of the burnt-out vehicle and debris. Safety checks for the road surface are also underway.
🚗🚧 A diversion is keeping traffic moving: head along A419, A38, and B4509 to get back on the M5 after the affected stretch. But be warned, there’s already congestion building up, with queues stretching back towards junction 11.
Drivers are advised to add extra travel time and approach with caution. Stay safe and stay informed! 🌐🔗
