A standout feature? The transformation of the Grade II-listed power hall into 60 modern flats, preserving its striking original facade and the iconic winding wheels. But that’s not all – the development also includes a beautiful landscaped play area and two new commercial units. This project promises to give a new lease of life to what is currently a derelict site, bringing vibrancy and quality living spaces for the community.

This redevelopment follows previous projects at the site, with the former engineers’ hall already turned into homes. If all goes to plan, we’ll soon see 33 more flats and a shop nearby as well.

Eagerly awaiting approval, this project could be a real game-changer, marrying history and modern living in one of the most significant transformations the area has seen. Stay tuned for more updates on this exciting journey back to the future! Interested in checking out the plans? They’re currently up for consultation on the local council’s website.
