π A Story of Resilience and Hope π

Meet Olivia Griffiths, a passionate teacher from Bangor who faced not one, but two battles with meningitis. At just 27, while living in Sheffield, Olivia contracted bacterial meningitis. Rushed to intensive care with a severe headache, her world was turned upside down. Despite surviving, the disease left Olivia profoundly deaf and facing a new normal.

But life threw another curveball in 2024 when Olivia was struck by meningitis again. This time, it exacerbated her symptoms and introduced new challenges like PTSD and anxiety. Forced to leave her teaching career, Olivia embarked on a journey of recovery and rediscovery.
Determined to reclaim her life, Olivia transformed her diet and embraced Pilates and strength training. Not only did she defy the odds, but she also found her new calling. Olivia is now a flourishing Pilates instructor and nutrition coach, sharing her journey and inspiring others.
Next month, Olivia is taking on the London Marathon to raise funds for meningitis research. This incredible woman, who’s already raised over Β£1,300, wants to spread awareness that meningitis can strike anyone at any age. πββοΈπͺ
βThe London Marathon has always been a dream,β Olivia shares. βI hope my run will not only raise funds but also alert others to the severe effects of meningitis and the importance of research.β
Letβs cheer Olivia on as she takes on this monumental challenge and supports a cause close to so many hearts. If youβre inspired by her journey, you can contribute to her fundraising efforts and help those affected by this devastating disease.
Bravo, Olivia, for turning hardship into hope and showing us all the power of resilience! π
