Keep the faith, Bluebirds! Cardiff City’s journey towards promotion is never straightforward, but history shows they’ve got what it takes. Despite some recent setbacks at home, the young squad led by Brian Barry-Murphy is poised for success. We may have heard a few boos after the 0-0 draw with Blackpool, marking the third game at home without a goal, but there’s still plenty of reason to believe.
This season has been a learning curve for the team’s young talent, mixed with experienced players providing a spark of hope for the future. They’re on an upward trajectory – with Yousef Salech back, let’s hope the goals start flowing again. The team sits comfortably ahead of Bolton in third, with Bolton facing a tough run-in. Bradford is trailing behind too, needing near perfection to overtake us.
Let’s look back at the past: Neil Warnock’s 2017-18 squad clinched Premier League promotion at the last minute, and Malky Mackay’s side in 2012-13 had their share of draws before securing promotion. Even the Lennie Lawrence era in 2002-03 showed that Cardiff never have an easy ride, yet they’ve always managed to shine through.
Despite some recent ups and downs, Cardiff smashed Exeter 4-0 away and took a commanding win over Doncaster. The passion of this young team backed by the fans can push them towards the Championship and beyond. Keep believing – let’s turn those jeers into cheers! 💙⚽
