π Incredible Transformation Alert! π Meet Sheldon Donovan from Cardiff who shed an astounding 18 stone after waking from a coma with what he calls his “fourth chance at life.”

His journey is nothing short of inspirational. At just 24, Sheldon was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma after battling a persistent cough. Though relieved to have a diagnosis, the challenges were far from over. Relapses, stem cell transplants, and finally a cardiac arrest in 2021 tested his resilience. π
“I remember nothing from the cardiac arrest until I woke up seven weeks later,” recounts Sheldon. Learning to walk again, he weighed 27 stone. But determination led him to take up running, shedding over 18 stone in the process! πββοΈπͺ

Doctors are thrilled with Sheldon’s recovery, considering him a miracle, and he’s turned his life around with a newfound love for running. Today, heβs healthier than ever and wants to inspire YOU to participate in Race for Life in Cardiff’s Bute Park on Sunday, May 3rd. Letβs raise funds for life-saving cancer research! ποΈ
Sheldonβs message? “It’s thanks to research that I’m still here. Every person who joins the Race for Life is giving someone like me another chance at life.” π
The event is suitable for everyone, whether you choose to run, walk, or dance. It promises to be a day filled with positivity and community spirit. You can choose between 3k, 5k, and 10k events on Sunday, and don’t miss Pretty Muddy on Saturday for a muddy obstacle adventure!
