π Tragic Loss in Merthyr Tydfil π

Emily Williams, a dedicated 30-year-old nurse from Penydarren, sadly took her own life in November 2024. An inquest in Pontypridd revealed she had used cocaine shortly before her death. Emily struggled with anxiety, depression, and self-harm, and had been through a tough time following the end of a turbulent relationship. π
Coroner Patricia Morgan highlighted that Emily’s death was a likely suicide. Born and raised in Merthyr Tydfil, Emily’s passion for helping others shone through her work as a nurse. Her untimely passing is a stark reminder of the mental health challenges many face.
