🔍 **A £600 Van That Ruined a ‘High-Flying’ Drug Dealer’s Life** 🚐💨
Meet Daniel Booth, the former pub landlord who bragged about raking in £38,000 a week and living the high life with two houses. But his empire came crashing down in the most unexpected way – through a £600 van he sold online! 😲
Booth advertised a second-hand Chevrolet van on Facebook Marketplace, thinking it was just another quick sale. Little did he know, the van held hidden secrets. When the buyer discovered cocaine and cannabis snugly packed inside the air filter, the game was up.
In a twist worthy of a TV series, the police swooped in, arresting Booth as he attended court on unrelated matters. A search pulled out nearly £1,700 from his pockets and a stash of cannabis at his home. 📱 Despite Booth’s refusal to unlock his phone, detectives uncovered incriminating messages from other seized devices. They revealed Booth’s deep involvement in the drug trade, his contact with suppliers, and his not-so-shabby sales record of a kilo of cocaine in just six days.
With 27 past convictions, Booth’s journey is a sombre tale – from a fractured childhood in Derby to a life tangled in organised crime. His lawyer described it as a “tale of woe,” stating Booth was under duress from unsavoury characters. Yet, what the judge saw was a man who played a key role in a large-scale drug operation. 🍃💸
Sentenced to six years, Booth will serve half his time before returning to the community under supervision. A stark reminder that the fast life can indeed accelerate to a dead end! 🚔⚖️
