🚨 Important News for Horse Racing Fans 🚨
Cheltenham Racecourse has made a big announcement— all remaining races for this season are cancelled! 🤯 Why, you ask? They’re upgrading the drainage system in the home straight after a pesky hole appeared on the track back in January. Yikes!
Here’s the scoop: They’re prioritising a top-notch racing surface for the future. The two-day fixture in April and the Hunter Chase event set for early May are being relocated. But don’t worry, key races are shifting to other top venues like Market Rasen, Warwick, and Sandown. 🏇
Clerk of the course, Jon Pullin, assures us that these improvements will fix the issues from last winter and help the ground recover in time for an exciting new season. They’re using this moment when the ground has the right moisture levels to ensure the best conditions come October.
CEO Guy Lavender emphasised that Cheltenham is all about offering the best facilities and racegoer experiences, on and off the track. He’s optimistic about next season already!
Race fans with tickets—you’re covered! 🎟️ Automatic refunds are on the way for general admission ticket holders. Hospitality goers and members will hear directly about any further compensation.
While it’s a bummer to miss out on these events this season, this crucial work sets the stage for more fantastic race days next year! 🍂
Stay tuned for updates and make sure to mark your calendars for the return of thrilling jump races. 👀 Keep an eye out for more exciting racing news! 📰
