ππ¬ Heads up, beach lovers! If you’re strolling along the stunning UK coastline, keep an eye out for seal pups! The RSPCA is sharing important tips to help us all be beach-friendly and potentially save seal lives. π¦

Did you know? Seal mums often leave their pups alone on beaches while they hunt. So, if you see a baby seal solo, donβt panic! This can be totally normal. But here’s what you should look out for:
π A healthy seal pup looks plump and sausage-shaped. If itβs skinny with a visible neck, it might be in trouble. In such cases, keep your distance, don’t try to move it, and give the experts a call on 0300 1234 999 for advice.

πΎ Recently, two seal pups, nicknamed Romesh Ranganathan and Rob Beckett, were saved by the RSPCA. Thanks to their expert care, these seals are now thriving! Rob even has a unique all-black look due to melanism. π«
Remember, mums might be nearby, keeping an eye on their little ones. So, give seals space and avoid coaxing them into the water. It might cause them distress or even lead to injury.

If you’re ever unsure or spot a seal that seems unwell, reach out to British Divers Marine Life Rescue at 01825 765 546 for help. π
Letβs make sure our beach walks are safe for everyone, especially our marine friends! ποΈβ¨ #SealPuppyLove #BeachWalks #RSPCAAdvice
