Antoine Richard, a 21-year-old rugby player from France, has gone missing in New Zealand under worrying circumstances. Antoine was last seen on the night of March 21st after a match in Cromwell, near Queenstown. CCTV captured him near Lake Dunstan Trail, but since then, there’s been no sign of him.
His family, desperate for answers, have issued a heartfelt plea for any info that might help them trace his steps that weekend. They’ve even accessed his social media, hoping for any clue. It’s been over a week now, and concerns are growing.
New Zealand Police, alongside Land Search and Rescue teams, have launched an extensive search around Cromwell, focusing also on Cairnmuir and Bannockburn areas. They’ve urged locals to check their properties and any outbuildings. Adding to the concern, a sandal similar to Antoine’s was found by Lake Dunstan.
Antoine was last seen wearing light-coloured shorts, a black T-shirt, and grey sandals. Police and his family are very worried about his welfare and are eager for his safe return.
