🚨 Crime Alert in Maesteg! 🚨
A notorious shoplifter has been put behind bars and banned from shopping in most of Maesteg! Meet Samantha Jones, 41, who’s just been sentenced to 12 weeks in prison. She’s admitted to pinching over £380 worth of stuff like meat, coffee, and alcohol from local retailers. 🥩☕🍾
The sentencing took place at Cardiff Magistrates’ Court, and it comes after six separate theft incidents between February and March. Jones targeted two local stores multiple times! Four of these daring heists happened at Asda on Castle Street, where she nabbed around £300 worth of meat and spirits. The rest happened at Filco Stores, where coffee and meat totalling £80 vanished from the shelves.
But that’s not all! Samantha’s also been slapped with a two-year Criminal Behaviour Order. This forbids her from stepping into any retail premises on Talbot and Commercial Street, as well as Asda, B&M Bargains, and Filco Stores in Maesteg. 🚫🛒
Sergeant Danieele Burton from Maesteg’s Neighbourhood Policing had this to say: “Our investigation ensures businesses in our community can trade without fearing theft. Samantha will face her time behind bars and remain under strict conditions upon release.”
