Steve Cooper Responds to Bizarre Sabotage Accusation! ⚽
In a surprising twist before the World Cup play-off semi-final, Bosnia’s head coach Sergej Barbarez accused Steve Cooper of benitc하ing midfielder Benjamin Tahirovic to favour Wales. Laughing off these strange claims, Cooper, the Welsh football figure known for his integrity, simply responded that any sensible person would find it amusing.
Despite the drama, Bosnia emerged victorious on penalties over Wales at the Cardiff City Stadium, and went on to beat Italy in the final. Tahirovic, who hasn’t seen much action at his club Brondby, called Cooper during the international break, though the details of their chat remain private.
Cooper remains focused on his team and their next match, stating that every player is available for selection, but he alone decides the line-up. As the dust settles, it looks like Cooper is more interested in moving forward than dwelling on unfounded accusations.
