🎨🏰 From Derelict to Dream: Keith and Marj’s Welsh Chapel Renovation Adventure! 🏰🎨
Join the journey of Keith Brymer Jones and Marj Hogarth as they breathe new life into a magnificent old Welsh chapel in Pwllheli! Over four years, this creative couple from Channel 4’s “Our Welsh Chapel Dream” have battled everything from dry rot to unwanted pigeon guests—all while transforming Capel Salem into a stunning home!
Starting April 7, don’t miss the latest series showcasing their renovation escapades, from crafting beautiful interiors to hosting celebratory events like Keith’s 60th birthday with homemade gin! 🍸🥳 Whether turning damp storerooms into chic guest suites or designing a Brutalist courtyard with a fire trench, their ‘to-do’ list is nothing short of ambitious.
But the magic doesn’t stop on TV! Keith and Marj are heading out on an 18-date UK tour starting May 13 in Aberystwyth. Expect pottery demos, lively chats, and loads of laughter.
What makes this project truly unique is Marj’s upcycling prowess and the duo’s drive to involve the local community. They’re committed to preserving the chapel’s historical charm while weaving in new stories and memories. And thanks to the wonderful support from their Welsh neighbours, they feel right at home. 🏡
Having overcome countless renovation challenges—including their scheming nemesis, the dreaded dry rot—Keith and Marj keep pushing on with positivity and a little help from wine! 🍷 They’ve even found solace in Wales’ breathtaking landscapes, grabbing moments of peace amid the chaos.
Their advice? Be bold, get creative, and don’t let self-doubt stop you. Marj shares, “There’s no mysticism to it. Anyone can have a go at creating something beautiful. It’s all about confidence!”
