🚨 **Community Alert in Blaenavon** 🚨
Attention all parents and guardians in the Blaenavon area! There’s been a disturbing arson attack at our newly refurbished tennis and basketball courts, and Gwent Police are calling for your help.
Last Thursday evening, a deliberate fire caused significant damage to these cherished community facilities, which received a whopping £115,000 in funding for their upgrade just last year. This isn’t just mischief-making – it’s criminal damage that affects us all.
Here’s how you can help:
– Be extra attentive! If your child returned home on the evening of April 2 smelling of smoke or acting out of the ordinary, have a chat with them.
– If you uncover anything suspicious, please reach out to the authorities. Let’s work together to uncover any leads.
There’s also a set of house keys found near the scene. If they might be yours, contact the police to retrieve them.
Every tip, no matter how small, can make a huge difference. Please get in touch with Gwent Police on 101 or pop a message on their Facebook page (Reference: 2600101691).
Let’s unite as a community and look out for one another, ensuring our shared spaces remain vibrant and welcoming for the young and old alike. 🤝✨
Stay informed – your vigilance can help protect our community and keep these young vandals accountable. Share this message and spread the word!
