Exciting news for Saundersfoot! Plans are in the works to make the award-winning outdoor sauna a permanent fixture at this picturesque Pembrokeshire harbour. The mobile wood-fired sauna, which has been a hit with both locals and visitors since 2024, could soon become a lasting amenity, thanks to overwhelming community support and a new application by Kerry Evans of Hwyl Outdoor Sauna.

Kerry, a former superyacht worker and mum of two, has poured her heart into this venture, and it’s clearly paying off. The sauna isn’t just a hot spot (pun intended) for wellness seekers—it’s also garnered attention in national media and been celebrated in tourism and hospitality awards. It even snagged the Sauna of the Year 2026/27 at the Wales Prestige Awards!

Supporters describe the sauna as a sanctuary of health and community connection. Plans are also afoot to install a year-round cold-water shower, enhancing the already fantastic offer at Saundersfoot Harbour.
So, what’s next? Park planners will soon review the proposal to keep this unique sauna steaming permanently. It’s an exciting step forward for Saundersfoot, boosting both its appeal as a coastal wellness destination and the local economy.
Fingers crossed, this beloved sauna might soon be a permanent part of the harbour’s charming landscape, continuing to warm hearts and bodies alike! Stay tuned for more updates. 🌊🔥🏖️
