🚨 Caution at Nefyn Beach! 🚨

A major landslide has hit Nefyn Beach on the stunning Llŷn Peninsula, prompting urgent warnings from North Wales Police. On April 7th, parts of the coastal cliffs gave way, marking yet another landslip after previous incidents in late 2025 and early this year.

The affected area is situated near a popular beach car park, and police are urging people to keep a wide berth. There’s concern more landslides may follow given the steep and unstable cliffs around Nefyn. Authorities, including the Coastguard and local councils, are on the ground, diligently assessing the situation.
Recurring landslides aren’t new here. The beach’s cliffs have a history of instability, with large areas having collapsed in prior years. Notably, a massive slip in April 2021 left a sizeable scar on the cliffs and posed serious risks to nearby homes. And back in 2001, dramatic slides even dragged two cars over the precipice.
If you’re planning a trip to Nefyn or nearby Porthdinllaen, please exercise caution and heed warnings. Safety first! 🏖️⛔
