π¨ Police Raid at Historic Welsh Mansion π¨

If you thought Plas Glynllifon near Caernarfon was just an old, picturesque mansion, think again! This grand estate, which has hosted the likes of the Prince of Wales, is now at the centre of a police investigation. π΅οΈββοΈ
On Tuesday, North Wales Police executed a drugs warrant at the mansion, uncovering a cannabis farm on the grounds. The 1840s building is now taped off, with officers expected to stay on-site for several days. So, if you’re in the area, please respect the police cordon and steer clear.

Plas Glynllifon has had quite the history. It was built by Lord Newborough and has seen its share of glamour and grandeur, including hosting the Prince of Wales Investiture Ball in 1969. But recent years have been less kind to the mansion. After being sold at the end of 2020, it stood vacant and was even relisted on the market for Β£2 million in 2024.
Let’s see how this latest twist in its story unfolds! Stay tuned for updates. πΈβ¨
