Ardour Academy Ltd, known for its enriching “mind, body, and soul” activities, has plans to shift to the ground floor of 29 Windsor Place, right in the heart of the city. This move is seen as a “valuable opportunity” to bring its wide array of workshops and services to a more central location.
At its current site, Ardour Academy not only offers delightful activities like dance, yoga, and crafts but also provides online and face-to-face counselling sessions, focussing on stress and conflict management. The proposed new venue, a beautifully refurbished Grade II listed building, is set to breathe life back into the ground floor, which has been largely unused since the Covid-19 pandemic. With no major internal or external changes planned, the focus will be on creating employment and offering dynamic spaces for classes and private room hire.
If the proposal is approved, the relocation could generate an impressive 17 jobs, including roles for directors, volunteers, and part-time subcontractors. What’s more, with surrounding businesses closed on weekends and evenings, the new creative hub is perfectly timed to fill the city’s downtime with vibrant activity.
