🚨 Exciting News Alert 🚨

A unique and eco-friendly burial site could soon be transforming the landscape near the Welsh border! 🌿💚 Plans have been submitted to create a natural burial ground on Upper Broughton Farm, just north-west of Bishop’s Castle, where bodies will be allowed to decompose naturally, returning gently back to the earth.

This innovative site isn’t just for humans! The proposal includes dedicated space for our beloved domestic pets too. 🐾 It’s a win for nature as this green burial space will support biodiversity by planting native wildflowers, enhancing both the environment and the visual beauty of the area. 🌼
Forget the traditional headstones, concrete vaults, and embalming chemicals—this is all about conservation and sustainability. Aiming to minimise environmental impact, natural burial sites avoid harmful practices associated with conventional burials and cremations, offering a peaceful and earth-friendly resting place. 🌍
If approved, attendees will enjoy a serene walk to the site, with parking available nearby at Camlad Barns. And it’s not just about nature – the site aims to act as a community hub for memorials and celebration of life services, maintaining the tranquillity and purpose of the place.
Local community discussions have been overwhelmingly positive, and the site, managed by the dedicated Mr and Mrs Leeke, promises careful maintenance and nurturing of the area. 🌾
