🚨 Holiday Drama in Mallorca! 🚨

Last night, a section of the Rey Don Jaime Hotel in Santa Ponça gave guests an unexpected thrill when the floor at one of their restaurant areas suddenly collapsed. Around 9:30 PM, diners were shaken as the ground literally gave way beneath them.

Thankfully, injuries were minor, but it sure was a fright. Emergency services, including fire crews and medical teams, rushed to the scene, getting over 150 people safely evacuated. The cause? Early chatter suggests some structural issues, with the floor possibly lacking some necessary reinforcement.
Meanwhile, down in Benidorm, guests at the Poseidon Palace hotel faced their Easter Sunday horror when the ceiling in their dining area crashed down. The noise was so loud that swimmers by the pool thought something exploded! Among the seven injured was a child, and it’s pure luck the place wasn’t at full capacity.
Both hotels are under scrutiny now, as investigators and specialists work to figure out what went wrong. With safety checks and repairs kicking in, guests temporarily dine at nearby venues.
Whether planning a trip to sunny Spain or currently there, stay safe and enjoy your holiday! 🌞 🏖️
