Excitement is buzzing for the 2026 Grand National as the odds take a thrilling twist! Panic Attack has emerged as the new favourite after a wave of bets this Saturday morning, moving up from 20/1 to a now impressive 7/1. This 10-year-old mare is causing quite a stir, being heavily backed to potentially become the first mare to win since 1951!

Trained by the talented Dan Skelton, Panic Attack has been in fantastic form this season, clinching victories at the Paddy Power Gold Cup at Cheltenham and the Coral Gold Cup at Newbury. Skelton expressed optimism, saying, “All of our qualities are what you need to win the race.”

The betting shift saw I Am Maximus, the morning’s initial favourite, drop to fourth place in the odds at 17/2. Meanwhile, Jagwar follows closely as the second favourite at 15/2, and Grangeclare West stands at 8/1.

Lee Phelps from William Hill shared, “The money just doesn’t stop coming for Panic Attack. She’s been incredibly popular, and if she wins, it could be one of our worst results in modern Grand National history!”
Elsewhere, Gorgeous Tom is also making a move from 25/1 to 18/1. It seems like those backing their namesake might just know something we donβt!
