🌊 Concerns are mounting about the rise in disruptive behaviour at Aberavon Beach! 🚨 Residents near this popular Welsh seaside spot are worried, saying things are getting out of control with the warmer months approaching.

Local residents have noticed large groups, sometimes up to 500 young people, gathering and causing chaos. One local shared: “I’ve lived here all my life, and it’s only recently become a major issue.” The atmosphere is changing, and not in a good way.

Reports suggest the beach’s lack of enforcement draws these crowds. Kids having fun is great, but when it turns into mess, fights, and substance abuse, it feels more unruly than fun. 😳
Incidents have ramped up with vandalism, including setting fire to garden furniture and vital beach rescue gear, posing serious risks. The lack of visible police or safety measure has many concerned. With little council or police presence, one PCSO just isn’t cutting it, say locals.
Police have installed a mobile camera to keep an eye on things and urge beachgoers to respect the area to avoid dangerous situations. They’re taking reports seriously and are poised to act on any anti-social behaviour.
Meanwhile, Neath Port Talbot Council and partners are stepping up their efforts with Operation Adriatic. The campaign seeks to ensure everyone enjoys the beach safely, introducing more lifeguard patrols and regular community engagement activities. 🛡️
Authorities stress the importance of reporting any issues to keep the beach safe and welcoming for everyone. As one concerned resident puts it, “Putting on funfairs isn’t addressing what’s happening – something more needs to be done!”
Let’s keep Aberavon Beach beautiful for all to enjoy! 🌟 Keep your eyes and ears open, and report any unruly behaviour to the local police. 🕊️ #AberavonBeach #CommunitySafety #SummerReady
