🏇🎉 What a ride at the 2026 Grand National! The legendary I Am Maximus has claimed victory once again at Aintree, making it his second Grand National win. With the guidance of trainer Willie Mullins and jockey Paul Townend, this dynamic duo overcame the odds, solidifying Maximus’s status as a racing icon.

Despite starting as the 5/1 favourite, it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Many fancied runners, including Grangeclare West, unfortunately fell early, with 18 horses not completing the course. But Maximus proved his mettle, surging ahead from behind to nab the top spot, just like he did a year before when he nearly claimed his first title.

The race saw Ben Jones’s bold attempt on The Jukebox Man fall short as the 9-2 favourite galloped home triumphantly. Iroko, riding high at 18-1, clinched second for a triumphant owner JP McManus, who also celebrated a historic first: owning the first and second-placed horses in the same race. Jordans and Johnnywho rounded out the top four.

The day was filled with both cheers and gasps as the excitement unfolded. Check out where the rest of the contenders finished:
1️⃣ I Am Maximus 9-2f
2️⃣ Iroko 18-1
3️⃣ Jordans 28-1
4️⃣ Johnnywho 12-1
5️⃣ High Class Hero 66-1
…and the list goes on with many not making it to the finish line due to falls and pull-ups.
