🏇✨ What a thrilling Grand National! I Am Maximus, the favourite, claimed victory once more, becoming the first since Red Rum to regain the crown. However, the race was not without its dramas as 18 horses didn’t make it to the finish line. 🏆
Out of the 34 starters, only 16 completed the course. A series of falls and unseatings saw some favourites like Panic Attack and Grangeclare West among those unable to finish. Though there were no fatalities during the main event, the festival mourns the loss of two horses over the weekend, Get On George and Gold Dancer. 😢
Quai De Bourbon and Top Of The Bill were among those assessed after falls, but fortunately, reports say they walked back for further checks. As always, the organisers highlight their commitment to equine welfare, engaging with leading welfare organisations to ensure the highest standards are upheld. 🚑🏇
Our thoughts are with all the jockeys and horses for their incredible efforts in this iconic race. 🐴💪
