🚗 **£100 Fine for a Parking Mishap?!** 🚗
Alan McIntosh from Cardiff is fuming after his granddaughter Wendy got slapped with a £100 fine while just trying to park! 😤 Alan shared how they drove into an NCP car park on Adam Street one busy Sunday, only to find no free spaces in sight.
Despite spending just 15 minutes navigating out of the full car park, Wendy, who’s been a driver for just over two years, was hit with a parking charge. Initially, she paid £60 within the timeframe, fearing the fine would rise to £100. But Alan, feeling the penalty was unjust, stepped up to challenge it.
“It’s not right,” Alan exclaimed. “Wendy did all she could to get out quickly, but we were stuck in traffic. We’ve been fighting this since January, but as NCP’s gone into administration, we’ve got nowhere. Absolutely livid!”
To make matters worse, Alan discovered NCP went into administration in March due to financial woes since the pandemic, with changing work habits reducing the need for city centre parking. Now, Alan and Wendy are anxiously waiting for a resolution, and their story highlights just how parking can quickly turn from convenient to a calamity! ⏳
