🎮 Exciting News for Tenby! 🎮

The old Poundland and Royal Playhouse cinema on White Lion Street is getting a major makeover and will soon be a haven for retro gaming fans! The plan has just received the green light from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, promising fun for all ages.

After Poundland’s closure last year, the iconic Grade II-listed building will transform into a family-friendly retro gaming lounge. Matthew Mileson from MB Games Ltd is behind the initiative, bringing his successful business model to Tenby. Play to your heart’s content! Pay an entry fee and enjoy unlimited game time across all consoles and arcade machines. And while you’re at it, grab some snacks and drinks to keep you energised! 🍿🥤
Tenby Town Council is on board, seeing it as a fantastic addition to local attractions, especially as a go-to spot during rainy days! And though there were a couple of public objections, the proposal is largely seen as a boost to the town’s vibrancy and visitor appeal.
The doors will be open 10am to 10pm Sunday to Thursday, and until 11pm on weekends, making it a perfect place to hang out all week long. And don’t worry – they’ll manage noise levels to keep the peace with neighbours. 👾🤖
