Florence Betts, a spirited 106-year-old from Penarth, has just seen her childhood dream come to life—and it’s utterly heartwarming! Living at the Methodist Homes Morel Court care home, Florence always wished to meet a St Bernard dog. 🐶
When she shared her dream with the care home’s staff, they sprang into action. Mandy Jenkins, the administrative manager, reached out to the St Bernards Trust. This incredible charity helps with the rescue and rehoming of these majestic dogs. 🦮
Enter Winter, a gentle St Bernard who travelled around 67 miles with her owners just to meet Florence! The visit was nothing short of magical for Florence and her fellow residents. Florence was simply “over the moon” as she spent quality time with Winter, asking questions and revelling in the moment.
