Nigel Farage has set his sights high for the upcoming Senedd elections, declaring that “coming first in Wales is the ambition.” With Reform UK aiming for a significant breakthrough, they’re eyeing the top spot in May. Despite their rapid rise in the polls slowing down, Farage remains optimistic. Speaking with Sky News, he mentioned Reform UK’s neck-and-neck race with Plaid Cymru.
The political landscape is heating up, and Farage believes becoming the main opposition in Scotland would be “amazing,” hinting at his broader ambitions across the UK. Although some recent polls have shown a dip from their previous highs, Farage feels confident, stating they’re “literally neck and neck” with just weeks to go.
When asked about potential issues such as a “Trump problem,” Farage dismissed such notions, emphasising the importance of the UK’s relationship with America over individual leaders. “It’s America first, not Trump,” he said, focusing on what lies ahead for Reform UK.
Will early momentum lead to a victory, or will the recent slowdown shuffle the deck once more? With keen anticipation building for the elections in May, all eyes will be on Wales to see if Farage’s vision becomes a reality. Stay tuned for updates as the political drama unfolds! 🌍🗳️
