🚴♂️💪 Former Wales rugby stars are swapping the pitch for pedals with an epic 500km charity challenge! Josh Navidi, Alex Cuthbert, and Ellis Jenkins, joined by ex-Neath CEO Matt Church, are gearing up to cycle from Cardiff to the iconic Eiffel Tower. Their mission? To raise funds for MEDSERVE, a lifesaving charity providing vital medical support across Wales.

The four-day adventure kicks off at Cardiff Arms Park, with the first leg taking them to Froome, day two sees them off to Portsmouth, before a ferry ride to Caen. They’ll then ride through Versailles, ultimately reaching their destination in Paris. Did we mention they’ll be climbing over 4,500 metres along the way? 🌄
MEDSERVE offers critical medical care at accident scenes, often surpassing what’s readily available. Inspired by this cause, the cyclists are pushing boundaries to shine a light on this under-the-radar charity. Despite some challenging weather forecasts and rigorous terrain, the team is determined to make a difference.

Josh Navidi admits the ride is a whole new ball game compared to rugby. “I used to BMX as a kid, so cycling is in my blood,” he shared. This journey isn’t just about completing the distance; it’s about endurance and adapting to a totally different kind of physical strain.
The team aims to raise over £15,000, directly supporting MEDSERVE’s life-saving work. Every pedal push counts, burning around 700 calories per hour as they clock approximately seven hours a day in the saddle.
