Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s new digs at Marsh Farm have sparked quite the buzz! Imagine living in what a royal author has dubbed the “most luxurious open prison in the UK.” Once living it up at Royal Lodge, Andrew’s lifestyle has taken a sharp turn. Now, nestled in the Norfolk countryside, he’s swapped grandeur for a quieter life, all within striking distance of a Co-Op!

Stripped of titles and removed from Royal Lodge due to controversies, the former Duke of York is settling into Marsh Farm after a spell at Wood Farm. Despite its smaller size compared to his previous residence, Marsh Farm offers plenty of comforts, including stables and outbuildings. The property has been revamped with a fresh interior, upgraded broadband, and even a new security fence. Word has it these renovations could be pretty pricey!

Author Ian Lloyd suggests Marsh Farm is more than just a home—it’s almost like an “internal exile.” With fewer outings and more time at home, Andrew’s days might now consist mostly of television and video games. What a change from his previous royal lifestyle!

The nearby village of Wolferton, along with a handful of businesses and a social club, promises some local charm. Meanwhile, a mobile home has been set up for staff, hinting that the main house might be a bit snug for everyone.
It’s certainly a dramatic shift for Andrew, and it’ll be interesting to see how he adjusts to his new life away from the spotlight. What do you think about this royal shake-up? Share your thoughts!
