A fearless feathered bandit has been ruffling feathers at an Asda in Llandudno Junction! This cheeky seagull has become a local celebrity, effortlessly navigating the supermarket’s automatic doors to nab sandwiches and crisps on the daily. Captured on camera, the clever bird was recently spotted sprinting out of the store, proudly clutching a pack of cheesy crisps in its beak!

Despite efforts from security staff to shoo him away, this determined seagull just won’t be deterred. Shoppers have taken to social media to share their amusement, with one even remarking, “His little legs going like the clappers! So adorable and clever.”
Described as a “regular” at the store, some locals even claim this bird has a hint of conscience, suggesting it cleans up after itself by disposing of empty wrappers in the bin! Asda jokingly commented that while it seems even the seagulls know where to find great value, they’d rather their products stay on the shelves.

Witnesses have shared tales of the gull’s escapades, with one shopper recently watching it make off with a tuna sandwich. This savvy scavenger might be on track to perfect the art of “kleptoparasitism” – a behaviour where birds smartly take advantage of human environments for a quick snack.
Asda vows to stay vigilant against these feathered incursions, although they can’t help but see the humour in the situation. It looks like our winged thief will have to keep honing its skills if it aims to join the ranks of the elite! What do you think of this daring seagull? Let us know your thoughts! 🕊️🥪💨
