🚔🚴♂️ High-stakes drama in Newport! A brave police officer on foot tackled a dangerous e-bike rider as a helicopter tracked the chase from above. 🎥
In an adrenaline-pumping pursuit, a 19-year-old, wearing a blue hoody and balaclava, sped through the streets trying to shake off the police. But this wasn’t just any chase; a police helicopter was overhead, capturing every twist and turn. 🚁
The drama kicked off on Christchurch Road, with the teen making daring moves, weaving between cars and attempting to hide behind buildings. The helicopter commentator’s quips added to the tension, quipping that the rider might be “sweating a bit.” 😅
Just as hopes of escape faded, our hero officer on foot swooped in on Gainsborough Drive, tackling the rider right off his bike! The helicopter team praised the swift action, saying, “Good work.” 👏
The chase continued, but the teen was soon cornered by officers and taken into custody. He now faces charges of dangerous driving and drug-related offences.
