Ant and Dec have spoken out about David Haye’s controversial behaviour on I’m A Celebrity, and it seems they’re not impressed! The hosting duo criticised Haye for crossing the line with his comments towards Adam Thomas, calling it “not nice to watch.”
The drama began when Haye made remarks about his girlfriend that sparked backlash, and then things escalated when he called Thomas “useless” for wanting to skip a challenge due to feeling unwell. Thomas, who lives with psoriatic arthritis, cited his health condition, but Haye wasn’t having it. Presenters Ant and Dec have now stepped in, saying the banter has gone too far.
On the I’m A Celebrity podcast Unpacked, Ant remarked that Haye’s unkind behaviour was relentless, while Dec agreed it had crossed from banter into something uncomfortable. Fellow contestant Gemma Collins shared that she often felt the need to protect Thomas from Haye’s remarks and hinted at stepping in if things got worse.
Adam Thomas later reflected on Instagram about the toll the experience took on him both physically and emotionally. He revealed that living with arthritis brought unexpected challenges that made the show even tougher, sharing an emotional post with fans about struggling in silence. He wishes he’d stood his ground more during his time in the jungle but is learning that kindness doesn’t equate to weakness.
