🚨 **Shocking Court News: Pensioner in Hot Water Again!** 🚨

Christopher Norris, a 73-year-old from Raglan, is making headlines once more after breaching a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO). Having a troubling past of gruesome indecency offences with minors, Norris found himself facing legal action after his phone revealed a breach of browsing rules set by the court.

During a routine meeting at Pontypool police station, officers identified 13 private browsing tabs open on his blue iPhone XR. This was a clear violation, as Norris is prohibited from using private browsing under his SHPO restrictions. When confronted, he became visibly upset, claiming ignorance about such functions on his device. Despite the breach, an examination of his iPhone showed no further incriminating evidence.
The court heard Norris has breached his SHPO multiple times before. Although his defence argued that he was unaware of how to access private browsing, the court didn’t take it lightly. Especially tough considering his background and the serious nature of his offences.
With a compassionate mention of his role as a carer for his wife, who is battling severe health issues, the court nevertheless decided that a strong response was necessary. The message: rules must be followed, no matter the circumstances.
Recorder Greg Bull KC handed Norris a 24-month prison sentence, highlighting that only such a measure would be appropriate given his history. Despite his incarceration, Norris will continue to be bound by the SHPO and sex offender notification requirements to ensure public safety.
