A normal litter-pick day took a bizarre twist in Llanharan when volunteers stumbled upon a mystery bag with a “strong” smell. Imagine the shock when they found animal bones spilling out after the bag split! 🦴💼
Volunteers from Llanharan & Brynna Wombles, known for their regular clean-ups, were left stunned. They’ve seen it all—from discarded sofas to even a prosthetic leg—but this was entirely unexpected. “This was a first even for us!” a spokesperson said, highlighting the group’s disbelief.
The team swiftly called the police, and officers, along with a forensic team, soon confirmed the bones were indeed those of an animal. The discovery triggered a wave of questions: Why would someone dispose of their pet like this? 🤔
Despite the oddity of this find, the group stated that the underlying issue isn’t a new one. “Fly-tipping and littering is on the rise,” they expressed, pointing out their ongoing battle against waste dumping in their community.
South Wales Police responded promptly, explaining the process and emphasizing the importance of staying alert and reporting unusual finds. The local authority will now handle proper disposal of the bones.
This incident has sparked conversations about human responsibility and community care. Let’s all play our part in keeping our areas clean and safe. 🌍✨
