**”A Freak Accident Nearly Took Away Her Ability to Walk 💔”**

Meet Carol Jepson from Romford, Essex – her story is both harrowing and inspiring. At 66, a simple fainting spell turned her life upside down. While grabbing something from her bedroom, Carol fainted, hitting her face against a wall and fracturing her shoulder. Her terrifying ordeal didn’t stop there; she was stuck, unconscious, in a kneeling position for two whole days due to an underlying infection.
With phone calls going unanswered, her family knew something was wrong. Her sister and niece came to her rescue, finding Carol in a dire state and immediately called for help. Rushed to A&E, Carol was close to death as her organs started failing. When she woke up two days later, she was diagnosed with pneumonia, sepsis, and rhabdomyolysis – a condition causing muscle breakdown due to the crush injury to her legs.

Doctors have warned that she may never walk again, and she’s been left with a permanently pointed ‘ballerina’ foot. Despite a year of rehab, her muscles haven’t regenerated, and walking is still not possible. But Carol remains hopeful and is fundraising for an electric wheelchair to help regain her independence.
“I really wanted to walk, but up to now it hasn’t worked. An electric wheelchair would help me so much by giving me my independence back,” Carol shares. Help her move forward and consider donating to her fundraiser.

Carol’s resilience is a reminder of how life can change in an instant. Let’s rally around and support her on her journey to independence! 🙌❤️
