🚨 **Thrilling Lunchtime Arrest in Penarth!** 🚨
A daring chase unfolded in Penarth town centre today when two quick-thinking police officers, taking a well-deserved lunch break, found themselves in hot pursuit of a wanted man! 🍽️👮♂️
Thanks to a vigilant member of the public, the officers were tipped off about a suspicious individual lurking in a car on Hickman Road. The suspect spotted the officers and made a run for it! 🏃♂️💨
But the swift-footed officers were up to the challenge. They chased him all the way to Dingle Road Railway Station, where they nabbed him! Turns out, he’s a 41-year-old local, wanted for a series of thefts—from swiping groceries at Tesco and Peacocks to pinching power tools and vehicles. 🚔🔒
Police have seized his vehicle, and he’s now in custody, all thanks to community teamwork and some quick reflexes from our local heroes. Big shoutout to the public for staying alert and helping out! 👏🙌
Stay safe and keep looking out for each other! 💙
