🏃♂️🌟 Meet the inspiring Welsh runners taking on the iconic London Marathon! 🌟🏃♀️

This weekend, over 59,000 runners will hit the streets of London, and among them are some incredible stories of courage, love, and determination from our very own Welsh heroes.

Meet Matthew Cox from Monmouthshire, a BAFTA-winning TV director who’s facing motor neurone disease with a smile. He’s taking part in a wheelchair, aiming to raise £100,000 for the MND Association and help others facing this challenging condition.
Brian Jones, from Newport, is running for the Dreams & Wishes charity. Having spent a decade trying to qualify, he’s ready to tackle the marathon and make a difference for seriously ill children.
Cardiff’s Kate Sibbald is lacing up her trainers for Welsh Women’s Aid, hoping to end domestic violence and support survivors. Inspired by her parents, she’s taking on all 26.2 miles for this crucial cause.
Then there’s the heartwarming story of brothers Jordan and Sheldon Donovan. Sheldon, a cancer survivor, found a life-saving donor with the help of DKMS. He’s now running alongside his brother to raise funds and awareness for blood cancer patients.
James Meacham from Pontllanfraith honours his late son, Thomas, by raising nearly £5,000 for Tŷ Hafan Children’s Hospice, helping families in their toughest times.
And don’t miss Aaron Ramsey, former Arsenal star and Wales captain, running for “It’s Never You,” a charity supporting families when a child is seriously ill.
These are just a few of the incredible individuals partaking in this year’s marathon for causes close to their hearts. They show us that every step counts in making the world a better place! 🌍❤️
