🏉 Exciting Rugby Times Ahead! 🏉
Wales is gearing up for an epic showdown with Spain ahead of the 2027 Rugby World Cup! Announced by the Spanish Rugby Union, this encounter marks just the second time the teams will meet, with the first being an impressive 54-0 victory for Wales in 1994. Spain’s making strides in the rugby world, hosting powerhouses like England ‘A’ and Argentina, and now they’re eyeing a thrilling World Cup journey!
Meanwhile, a heartfelt farewell to Cai Griffiths, the legendary coach who’s stepping down from his role at London Welsh. After nearly a decade, Griffiths bows out spectacularly, guiding the team back into the National Leagues. His parting words reflect gratitude and a desire for a much-needed break: “It’s been an honour, but now it’s time to reflect.” Enjoy your well-deserved time off, Cai!
In women’s rugby, Wales showcased their fighting spirit at Ashton Gate, racking up 24 points against England in the Women’s Six Nations, the highest ever against the Red Roses. Head coach Sean Lynn praised his team’s resilience, while England’s coach John Mitchell acknowledged Wales’ impressive progress. There’s room for growth – especially in the transitional game – but the future looks bright for Wales!
What’s next on the pitch for Wales? Keep your eyes peeled for more exciting rugby action and follow the journey as we cheer on our teams! 🏆
