Urgent Search for Missing 5-Year-Old Sharon Granites 🚨
Little Sharon Granites has been missing since Saturday night, and authorities are fearing the worst. The five-year-old was last seen possibly being led away by 46-year-old Jefferson Lewis, a released prisoner. Witnesses reported seeing Lewis holding hands with Sharon at the Old Timers Camp near Alice Springs, where she was staying with her mum during a party.
It’s been over 48 hours, but police remain hopeful that Sharon is still safe. The search is in full swing with helicopters, drones, dog units, and even indigenous trackers scouring the rugged Australian outback. Over 46 square kilometres have been covered so far, but the thick buffel grass makes the search painstakingly slow.
Police Assistant Commissioner Peter Malley shared that Sharon’s mum was nearby doing laundry when Sharon disappeared. The clothing Sharon was last seen wearing—a dark blue T-shirt with white stripes and black boxer-style shorts—has become a key focus, and any piece of information leading to her whereabouts is vital.
Authorities are yet to determine Lewis’s motives but noted that alcohol was consumed during the party, which might have influenced his actions. As the community rallies together, everyone is urged to keep a lookout and report any sightings immediately.
Let’s spread the word and bring Sharon back to safety! Every share counts. 🙏 #FindSharon #MissingChild #AliceSprings
