Criminal duo ordered to repay mere fraction of £900K earnings

Crime doesn’t pay – well, not much in the end! Lisa Regan and Phillip Jones, a former couple, believed they could outsmart the law with their drug operation across Swansea and the Amman Valley. These two were supplying large amounts of cocaine to a network of dealers, laundering the proceeds through a café. Their illegal empire crumbled when Lisa was dramatically escorted off a flight back to the UK, leading to their arrest and eventual court trial.

Both were slapped with hefty prison sentences last December – Regan for seven years and four months, and Jones for six years and eight months. But the story doesn’t end there. Despite raking in almost £900k from their criminal activities, they’re now only required to pay back a fraction – just £22,000 in total. Regan, now 53, has to cough up £4,851, while 44-year-old Jones is liable for £17,803. Cash already seized by the police will cover these amounts.
